Fall Fund Raiser. High School and Colleges may participate in the fall fund
raiser to raise money for their programs. Thirty-two teams participated in the
2008 Fund Raiser. They brought in over $79,000. Check out the results on our

October 3 & 4: |
Alabama
Community College Sophomore workouts, held at Faulkner University in
Montgomery. Northern Teams Sophomore’s workout on Saturday, October 3,
while the Southern Teams Sophomores workout on Sunday, October 4.
Approximately 100 players each day are put through a pro-style workout. |

October 6 – 10: |
Community College “Fall Classic.” Held at Paterson Field in Montgomery.
Nineteen of the twenty-one community colleges participate in this five-day
event. Each day four different teams play a doubleheader. See our web-site
for this fall’s schedule. |

October 10: |
High School Player Workout Day at Auburn University at
Montgomery. Last Day of Fall Community College Classic will be
held at AUM also. |

Scholarship Committee meets to select the high school seniors who will receive
the $1,500 scholarships to be used during their freshman year of college. See
our web-site for an application. 2010 seniors who attended one of our eight
regional underclassman workouts last June (2009) are eligible. The ALABCA
Student-Athlete-of-the-Year will be selected from the scholarship recipients. |

Pitch” Baseball Dinner and Silent Auction, RSA Activity Center, Montgomery. |

State Coaches Convention held at the Montgomery Renaissance Hotel.

Underclassman Regional Workouts will be held at one four-year college and
seven community colleges throughout the state. See our web-site for sites,
dates, and a pre-registration form. Recruiting packets and scholarship
applications will be given to the seven hundred student-athletes who
annually attend the workouts, which began in 2000. |

24 – 27: |
Underclassman All-Star Weekend
held at Troy University in Troy, Alabama.
Forty College Coaches and Professional
Scouts attend this event each year to recruit and evaluate the states top
baseball players. See our web-site for a weekend itinerary of games and
activities that the players participate in. The 2009-2010 scholarship
recipients will be honored at the banquet that kicks the weekend off, on the
evening of Thursday June 24. |
