Coaches Convention,
Birmingham Marriott Hotel. 300 - 350 high school and college coaches
attend this three-day event to listen to speakers on the fundamentals of the
game, Professional Development Hours for attendees, Awards Banquet to honor
Coaches. |

Youth League Volunteer
Coaching Clinics throughout the State. Three to four hour clinic
provided for coaches in attendance. Packets are distributed to coaches
with the clinic outline. Clinics held at Colleges around the State,
local high school and college coaches assist ALABCA. |

Recipients at Montgomery Biscuits game. |

MLBI Envoy Coach from
Alabama sent overseas. Usually to Germany (2012, 3rd year) |

High School Underclassman
Regional Workouts, Eight one-day workouts held at seven community colleges
and one four-year college throughout the state. 700 high school rising
sophomores, juniors and seniors go through a one-day pro-style workout.
A professional scout is at each workout, along with community college
coaches and four-year college coaches to evaluate the players. A Pro
Scout and Community College Coaches choose teams for the All-Star Weekend. |

Host a state of Alabama travel
ball state championship tournament in Birmingham. |

All-Star Weekend, Troy
University. 160 players (80 from the north, 80 from the south halves
of the state) participate in games and off-the-field clinic sessions.
Banquet kicks off event on the first night. Minority Coaches Outreach:
Invite minority coaches to participate in the weekend's events to further
their knowledge of the game and enhance their networking opportunities.
Scout School, Coaching School and Umpire Schools are held. |

Take Jr/Sr Team Alabama
and Sophomore Team Alabama to Atlanta to play Team MS/TN/GA before Perfect
Game. Team is selected from ALABCA
All-Star Weekend. |
