The 2012 Coaches Convention will be held
at the Birmingham Marriott January 19 - 21. The A LABCA
Coaches Convention Marriott room rate of $101 (plus taxes) is guaranteed through
Friday, January 6, 2012. You may go ahead and make your room reservation now by
clicking on the Marriott Hotel link below. If you're coming in from out of town,
or even if you're from the Birmingham area, please plan on staying here. The
Marriott is offering us a great rate and they take great care of us. And you
don't have to worry about driving home or to another hotel late after having
a great time in the hospitality suite talking with your old
coaching friends and making new ones. Stay at the Marriott and kick your heels
up! You'll be going at it hard after the convention until late April/early May,
so why not treat yourself to a good time. And you don't have to fight the
highway 280 traffic Friday or Saturday morning.

on-line by or your form and check are in the mail by Friday, January 6, 2012
Head Coaches Membership/Convention fee is $100 and Assistant's is $75. You must

We'll have another outstanding line-up of speakers for
the 2012 convention. The Thursday Hot Stove Sessions will begin Thursday
January 19 at 8:00 p.m. The Pitching wrap session will be handled by
Mark Calvi, skipper at University of South Alabama, while Erik Bakich,
University of Maryland Head Coach will handle the Hitting wrap session.
They'll also speak during the convention. Other speakers on tap; Darrell
Blevins (Jefferson Davis C.C.), Brandon Beckett/Mike Ryan (Champion
Sports Medicine), Kellen Greer (Sparkman HS), Lee Hall (Southern Baptist
Educational Center), Tommy Jackson (N.Y. Mets), Matthew Lambert (Douglas
HS), Ed McCann (Alabama A & M University), Mervyl Melendez (Alabama
State University), and a couple more we're finalizing. Once we complete
the line-up and nail down the speaker titles and times we'll put it on
the site and we'll email it to the coaches on our address list as well.
